Short or long fic, sketches to fully rendered pieces, all are acceptable fills.

Basics

What is this?
This is an open exchange where you answer a prompt with fic/art. You can post and fill as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

Can I post about this elsewhere?
Please do! Spread the word with your friends and followers. Anywhere people enjoy Staticmoth!

Questions?
You can leave a comment under this post! But for anything you would rather stay private, there is a contact post where comments are screened so only the moderators and you can see your comments.

How do?

What first?
Post a prompt in the comments! Leave a prompt word or a sentence or two. Try not to leave anything longer than two sentences.

And only one prompt per comment!

What's next?
After leaving whatever prompts come to mind, answer other prompts! As many prompts as you want and as many times. If a prompt is filled, you can fill it again! Multiple fills of the same prompt are allowed. They are encouraged!

Fills
Fills can be of any word length. Art is also allowed, as well as prompts for art, and those can be warmup sketches to fully rendered pieces.

Rules

The Golden Rule: be nice and if a prompt/fill isn't your cup of tea, you don't have to respond.

Warnings/Ratings/Tags/DNWs?
People don't have to leave any of these on their fills. This is a place where readers must curate their own experiences. This place will not be moderated for anything other than hate and prompts which have nothing to do with Staticmoth. Skip what isn't your cup of tea.

Just because you left the prompt doesn't mean the fill will be something you like either. Please only leave a prompt. The things you want. Do not leave a list of things you don't want. More people will have fun and fill prompts that are filled with Yeses instead of Nos.

Commenting Etiquette
Thank people for filling your prompts! For filling other prompts you didn't make! Please do comment if you enjoyed something. If someone has linked from another place, comment there as well if you can. You can always mention here that you left a comment on the other site.

FAQ

I don't have a Dreamwidth account
Doesn't matter! You can comment anonymously, even if you have an account. Both with prompts and with fills.

Cross-posting
If you fill a prompt and post it elsewhere, leave a comment under the prompt with a link to the fill. Just keep in mind that if you post somewhere that doesn't allow guest comments, you might not get a comment over there and just here.

Top-level comments
After opening comments on the post, you will see all prompts and fills either flat or threaded, but there is a Dreamwidth button called "Top-Level Comments Only" so you can scan through only the prompts if you are looking for what to create for!
